Bellarium S Tanning Bulbs

The Bellarium S tanning bulbs originated in the 1980s, and were a common OEM lamp in many brands of tanning beds, including SonnenBraune, Montego Bay, Tan America and others. While Wolff Systems doesn't publish UVB ratings for their various lamps, many people consider them to be something comparible with a 4.2 lamp, making them a bronzing type lamp.

Unlike most modern lamps, they actually burned a light pink color, making them fairly recognizable. This was done for marketing, as the visible color of the tanning lamp has no bearing on the actual UV output. Well,*technically*, using some phosphor colors CAN reduce the amount of UV the lamp puts out, as they absorb the UV before it exits the lamp, but in actual practice, you can discount the color of the lamp when it comes to performance.

Bellarium S tanning bulbs came in sizes F71, F73 and F59.

Some time in the early 2000s, they quit manufacturing the Bellarium S (and Bellarium Plus) tanning lamps. There are a wide variety of tanning lamps on the market that are legally compatible with these OEM lamps, such as the Midday Sun 5.0, SunMaster Pro Bronzer and others. If you need replacements for a tanning bed that came with Bellarium S tanning bulbs originally, you shouldn't have any problem getting equivalent replacements.
