Companies to avoid when buying tanning lamps and tanning beds

I am working on compiling a list of companies you should avoid, and to include their links as well as WHY you should avoid them. In order to avoid any legal issues coming up, I will use the Better Business Bureau's ranking system as a guide, which is as objective as you can get. In short, I wouldn't recommend doing business with any company that has less than a B ranking.

BBB ranking F
SunTechnologies, makers of Solar Storm and Solar Wave - This includes any company that sells their tanning beds, such as Walmart and a plethora of small dealers. The reason is simple. As of 3-4-2010, the BBB gives them an F ranking, their lowest score. See the report here. Reasons given for the F ranking include:

• Non-delivery of products
• Advertisement misrepresented a product
• Defective, damaged, or incorrect product received
• Company failed to respond to BBB to resolve or address the complaint issues

SunCo - Seller of Wolff Systems - Another seller that gets an F rating. See the report here. Reasons given for the F ranking include:

• Bait & switch advertisement
• False or unsubstantiated claims in advertisement
• Failure to correct billing errors and Failure to substantiate charges
• Non-delivery of products
• Sales presentation misrepresented the service
• Company failed to resolve the complaint issues through BBB voluntary and self-regulatory process

American Tanning Systems (aka: ATS) - Yet another F ranked business. See the report here. Reasons given for the F ranking include:

• Advertisement misrepresented a product
• Sales presentation used dishonest sales practices
• Failure to honor promised refunds, exchanges, or credit
• Failure to respond to phone calls or written requests for assistance or support
• Failure to correct billing errors
• Non-delivery of products
