Welcome to TanningBulbs.org!

The site has a simple goal:  Answer the most commonly asked questions about tanning bulbs / tanning lamps.  There are not a lot of pretty images, just facts.  The format is pretty much informal, as the goal isn't to convince you of anything, just inform you.

Note:  I get asked this a lot, "What is the difference between a tanning bulb and a tanning lamp?".  The answer: nothing.  From my experience, 1/3 call them bulbs and about 2/3 call them lamps, but they are both referring to the same thing, so don't sweat it.  For all intent, the words "tanning lamp" and "tanning bulb" are interchangeable, so call them what you want.  To compare, most Europeans call them "tanning tubes", which most Americans would find a bit odd.
